Just Because........

Ok just a few more and then I'll stop.

Ok Foma says I have to get ready for bed.  Maybe I can get one last peany butter samich before bed.  Wish me luck.  I know my forever family is waiting for me and I'm ready to share the love.......and sofa.

Random pictures of me

Foma tells me I will be leaving her and my foster siblings tomorrow.  I'm sure I will miss them but she says I will be getting one step closer to my new forever home.  I can't wait to continue my journey.
Foma says that I can post all the left over pictures of myself that never made it onto my blog. I posed for lots of pictures but I really don't remember taking any of these.  Seems Foma took them whilst I was napping. She says I'm cute even when I'm asleep.  I hope you think so too.

Store of all things wonderful!

We took trip a very cool place.  It was a store filled with everything a dog could ever wish for!  It was so exciting and I was ready to shop.

I had no problems with the big sliding doors that welcomed us as we entered.  Didn't notice the really shiny floors either.  I did notice lots of other dogs picking out yummy food and treats and cool toys.  I like how all the cool bones and squeaky toys are at just the right height.

Foma can we pick out a bone from this aisle?  Whadaya mean we're only getting poop bags? Where's the fun in that?  They're not even for us.

Foma I think Tapper just slipped something from the shelf. You might want to check under his collar.  Just saying.

We walked all around the store. We checked out all of the other animals that lived behind glass.  We sniffed at all the great smelling dog food and treats.  Foma kept calling it window shopping but we weren't looking at windows.  Lots of people stopped us to say hello and give us pettins. I did my best leaning to make sure they couldn't walk away. When it was time to go the nice ladies in the front gave us all treats because we were so good. At least we got something for working so hard to be cute.

Fun in the sun.

We had a blast yesterday. Foma took us to the playground.  It didn't mean a whole lot to me at first until I found out what it was.  We had the big yard all to ourselves so we could run and play all we wanted.  I just hung out in the shade near Foma at first while the other two ran and sniffed the ground like hound dogs.  Then I ventured out to take a look around and get a little sun.

Even played a little hide and seek. I got brave enough to try this contraption with Foma and it wasn't so bad.

I could barely get a drink of water with Tapper standing in the bucket all the time.  Guess he thought this was some kind of spa.

Once all the sniffing, peeing and pooping was done, it was time for me to show these young pups that I still have a little pep in my step.

We had a fun time. There was nothing left to do but go home and sleep.  I sure hope we can go play there again.  Do you have a safe, fun place where I can run and play?  Well then what are you waiting for? Fun at the Dog Walk

Saturday was a fun day!.  All us pups went to a dog walk sponsored by the SPCA to help get dogs like me a forever home.  A few of my Greyhound friends brought their people out to help.

All set up and ready to go.  I got a few pointers from my fo-brother on how it all worked.

Basically all I had to do was stand around looking handsome and let the people come to me.  Of course once they met me they all wanted to scratch my really soft ears.  That was nice. I paid them all back with a nice big lean.  The ear scratching went on for hours and I loved every minute of it.

I didn't let anything stop me from my duties. Not even little Punkin standing underneath me.  I got to meet some of the other dogs looking for a home. Even met this weird dog that stood on his hind legs. He didn't smell like a dog but he sure was popular so I got a pic with him just in case he's famous.

My new friend Cody took us around the whole park so we could see all the other dogs that were there and show more people how wonderful Greyhounds are.  Aren't we a great looking bunch?

 My Foma says I'm so well behaved that she's going to find more fun places to take us so people can see that I'm more than just a handsome face.  I've got a great personality too.  You say you might want to meet me?  Be sure to put your application in with the folks at GEGR and ask to meet me, Diesel.  Until then, I'm thinking I need more ear scratchin. I Like Chillin

Most folks would think I spend all my time sleeping. Not so.  I just like to chill most times and watch what everyone else is doing.  I watch Foma in the mornings when she's getting ready to leave.

This is all of us chillin outside while Foma does yard work.

This is us each morning outside the bathroom waiting to get our teeth brushed.  I wasn't sure what that was about at first but now I come over and wait too.

My favorite spot is these comfy rugs outside the kitchen.  No getting under foot for me.  I just lay there and watch Foma cook and make our meals.

Sometimes Tapper joins me and then its a real chill fest.

Nope its not lazy. I'm just conserving energy for the real fun stuff. You'll have to come back to see what that is.

Introductions

Hi everyone, I'm Diesel!  I thought I would tell you a little bit about myself.  I'm a tall handsome fella with a slim build and dreamy eyes.

I'm a little older than most pups because I've had a family before. I understand retirement and I love it! I have this living in a home thing down and no puppy nonsense from this guy.  I know not to do my business in the house and how to wait patiently for my meals.  I can do the stairs by myself and I don't mind having my teefers brushed.  I never surf the counters even though I'm clearly tall enough.

While I'm waiting on my new family, I'm hanging out with my Foma and foster brother and sister.  They have been really nice to share their walks, beds and toys with me.  I'm a real gentleman around them so we get along great.  Here I am on my first walk with my foster sister.  She's still a puppy head but Foma says I can help her calm down.  That's gonna be a big job but I'm up for the challenge.

Here's my foster brother Tapper.  I like him because he's real chill like me.  Hehehe Tapper looks older than me.  There's no gray on this guy.
